Rustic Perfection: Weathered RC Cars by Dented Speed Shop

If you're into RC cars and love unique, realistic designs, we've found a gem for you! Dented Speed Shop, based in the East Midlands, specialises in creating stunning weathered patina effects on RC car bodyshells. Their work is nothing short of art, turning standard RC cars into masterpieces that look like they've been through decades of adventures.

Their journey began with a VW Beetle, and their passion for iconic VW vehicles shines through in their work. From Beetles to camper vans, every piece is crafted with detail, including 3D-printed engines that are perfectly painted. The VW camper van, a highlight of their collection, even has a custom-made trailer for towing other models. There's a video of it on their Instagram that looks so realistic, you’d have to do a double-take!

One of the best parts of following Dented Speed Shop is seeing how they bring these creations to life. They share behind-the-scenes details, from fitting intricate parts like engines and door handles to applying glue and paint to mimic rust and wear.

Our personal favourite is the the Toyota Corolla E70 drift car. We’d love to see that beauty sliding around a track!
