Club

Very active club which caters for most small indoor classes. 

Track

Ignition Raceway features a permanent indoor track measuring about 18m x 9m. The track is surfaced with high-quality ETS carpet and outlined with white downpipe markers. The layout is aggressive yet very fun, offering a challenging and exciting experience for racers of all skill levels.
Pit Area

The pit area is well-equipped, with set tables, chairs, and power readily available for all participants. Everything is thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to prepare your cars and keep your equipment organized throughout the event.

Format

Races follow a structured format with three qualifying rounds leading into a final, ensuring plenty of track time for everyone.

Club Review

One of Ignition Raceway's standout features is its incredibly friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Whether you're a beginner, a child, or an experienced racer, you'll feel welcome here. The club goes out of its way to support newcomers, with heats specifically tailored for beginners and younger participants.

The club has a fantastic mix of camaraderie and competition. The pitting area is excellent, and the helpfulness of other racers really stood out. Despite the small size of the track, careful attention is given to heat sizes, ensuring safe and clean racing for everyone.

The meeting ran like clockwork, and the club's organisation and attention to detail were evident throughout the event.

Ignition Raceway, Wakefield - Pit and track setup

Racing at Ignition Raceway is a brilliant way to enjoy RC racing without breaking the bank. The club strikes a perfect balance between competitive racing and fun, and its members are some of the friendliest you’ll meet. With races held on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and the track open most Saturdays, there’s plenty of opportunity to join in.
